Process Chemist

CK Group are recruiting for a Process Chemist on behalf of a leading Fine Chemicals manufacturer at their site in Staffordshire on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities:

•To propose modifications to existing processes in order to improve efficiencies,

•To propose, design and introduce to the plant new processes utilising best practice, new equipment and technology,

•To propose and justify process change via understanding of relevant cost benefit analysis.

•To consider and address the safety implications of introducing new processes (COSHH) assessments, HAZOP studies) or implementing changes to existing processes

Candidate Requirements:

•Minimum graduate or equivalent in Organic Chemistry. 

•Experience in an industrial research & development environment. 

•To have a detailed knowledge of chemcial plant processes. 

•Able to design and conduct statistically meaningful experiments, collecting, evaluating and documenting all relevant information. 

•IT skills including Microsoft Office suite and Experimental Design.
